For whatever the reasons may be (an increasingly all-consuming federal government perhaps), the interest in and activity related to the issue of secession has soared during the past few years. Responding to this spike of interest, Secession News was launched on July 4, 2009—the 233rd anniversary of the Declaration of Secession in 1776.
Our simple goal: To provide a frequently updated resource for news, announcements and other items of interest relating to the issues of secession and nullification.
The focus of this service will be on secession within these United States, but significant international news will also be reported. In addition to news items, this service will also report on upcoming meetings, lectures, newly published books, and thought-provoking articles and commentary—related to secession topics.
All of our news and information summaries contain links to the full story or source of information. While we certainly verify these links when the item is published, over time some links will become “broken” due to the management of those websites—over which we obviously have no control. Since our focus is on current news and information, we will not attempt to correct old postings that have broken links–unless informed of their new location.
